Dobbs Ferry has quietly become one of the denser restaurant blocks in the lower Hudson Valley. Half Moon, Sam's, a handful of ramen and pasta rooms, and the Old Croton Aqueduct trail running right through the village keep the walking-village feel sharp. Commute to Grand Central is 35 minutes on the Hudson Line. Dobbs Ferry voters kept the village opted out of adult-use cannabis retail, so there is no licensed dispensary here; the closest licensed shops are next door in Hastings-on-Hudson and up the line in Tarrytown. The aqueduct is state parkland, and New York state law prohibits cannabis consumption on state-owned land and in public spaces.
