The quietest of the Rivertown anchors, Sunnyside on its southern edge and a Main Street that reads as village-scale Hudson Line.

Irvington sits between Dobbs Ferry and Tarrytown on the Metro-North Hudson Line, village-scale, walkable, and quieter than either neighbor. Washington Irving's Sunnyside is on the southern edge, the Irvington Town Hall Theater still programs a season, and the Main Street mix runs toward coffee rooms and the kind of restaurants a Westchester empty-nester couple treats as the standing Saturday-night standby. Irvington opted out of adult-use cannabis retail, so there is no licensed dispensary in the village; the closest licensed shops are in Tarrytown, Sleepy Hollow and Hastings-on-Hudson. Consumption stays off public space across the village footprint.
