Irvington
The quietest of the Rivertown anchors, Sunnyside on its southern edge and a Main Street that reads as village-scale Hudson Line.
Irvington sits between Dobbs Ferry and Tarrytown on the Metro-North Hudson Line, village-scale, walkable, and quieter than either neighbor. Washington Irving's Sunnyside is on the southern edge, the Irvington Town Hall Theater still programs a season, and the Main Street mix runs toward coffee rooms, a handful of wine bars, and the kind of restaurants a Westchester empty-nester couple treats as the standing Saturday-night standby. Cannabis-aware evenings here tend low-key, a low-dose edible before a theater show, a THC seltzer on a front porch. Consumption stays on private property across the village footprint.
