Playland, the Rye Town Park beach, and the southeastern anchor of the Sound Shore's quiet-affluent rhythm.
Rye anchors the Sound Shore's southern end, Playland on the water, the Rye Town Park beach a few blocks north, and a downtown built around the Metro-North New Haven Line. Grand Central is 40 minutes, which keeps Rye firmly in close-in commuter orbit. Rye opted out of adult-use cannabis retail, so there is no licensed dispensary in the city; the closest licensed shops are in New Rochelle and White Plains.
