New Rochelle
The largest Sound Shore city, a downtown rebuild still underway, and the densest dispensary footprint in southeastern Westchester.
New Rochelle is the largest city on Westchester's Sound Shore, and its downtown has been through a decade of rebuild-scale development. The restaurant and bar footprint downtown has grown accordingly, and licensed cannabis retail has opened here on a denser cadence than most of the smaller Sound Shore villages. Metro-North New Haven Line trains hit Grand Central in 25 to 35 minutes. The cannabis-aware rhythm in New Rochelle tracks the more urban scale of the city, residents less dependent on cross-shopping across town lines, a wider range of dispensary inventory inside city limits. Private-property consumption only, as across the state.
