Ossining
The Croton Aqueduct's double-arch weir, a working waterfront, and a dispensary footprint that tracks ahead of its Rivertown neighbors.
Ossining runs a scale up from the Rivertowns south of it, the historic double-arch aqueduct weir is the unexpected civic-engineering landmark, the waterfront still works, and the downtown carries a different mix than Irvington or Hastings. Metro-North's Hudson Line puts Grand Central at 50 minutes. The cannabis-aware footprint in Ossining has developed a few steps ahead of the Rivertowns immediately south, with licensed retail coming online on a faster cadence. Residents tend to build the evening around a low-dose edible at home, or a THC seltzer at dinner. Consumption stays private-property, the Croton Aqueduct trail is state parkland.
